Body building is the process of sculpting your body. You promote muscle growth with weight training, increased calories and rest. This not only gives you a nice body but also keeps you healthy and helps slow down the aging process.

The proper nutrition is the most important factor in your plan to be a body building man. What you eat will make it or break it. A common nutrition ratio is 40/30/30, which is 40% protein, 30% fats and 30% carbs. The next factor is to add muscle to your body. You actually need to force your body to add muscle. You need to force your body to add muscle by subjecting it to stress levels that it’s not used to. You can do this by increasing weight or resistance, performing more repetitions, performing more sets, and rest less between sets.

The cornerstone of the plan to be a body building man is diet and exercise. Exercise will do many things besides tone your body. It will reduce blood pressure; control body weights, prevent heart disease and improve the functioning of all your essential systems. Three to four workouts a week of at least thirty minutes each will keep you healthy. Then just eat only enough calories to help the muscle growth process. Eating more calories than you need will just get the excess calories turned into fat, which won’t help you, be a body building man.
